Alexandra Tomalonis

Alexandra Tomalonis founded Ballet Alert! in October 1998 to provide "a place for civilzed discussion of classical ballet" on the web. She is also the founder-editor of DanceView magazine and www.danceviewtimes.com and has written regularly for the Washington Post and other publications. Her work has appeared in Dance Now, Dance Magazine, Ballet Review, Dance International, The Guardian (U.K.) and Politiken (Denmark). She is the author of Henning Kronstam; Portrait of a Danish Dancer published by the University Press of Florida in 2002, and currently teaches ballet history and related subjects at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C.
